Where do the doves go when they are released?

Our doves are trained to fly home to the safety of their loft.

How long does it take for the doves to fly home?

It depends on the distance from their loft but they will arrive home on the same day as the release.

If I have paid for my release and weather prevents the release, can I get a refund?

Yes- but a release cancellation for an event is rare.

Can I release the doves myself?

Yes, but only a hand release which is a 1 to 2 bird release. Our handlers will release the mass release of doves.

Can I have a dove release during the winter?

Yes! Doves prefer to fly in colder temperatures so you can release in the winter except if it is extremely cold or poor visibility is present.

How do doves find their way back home?

Doves have a homing instinct that tells them where to fly home to and where it is located, even if it is hundreds of miles away.

What if it rains a bit on the day of our release?

The doves can be released when it is raining. However, if a thunderstorm is occurring the release will be cancelled.

Can I have a release in the evening?

Yes, but it can not be any later than 2 to 3 hours before sunset. The time of day changes depending on what season it is.

How many doves can be released at once?

You may have anywhere from 1 to 2 doves up to a couple dozen dove release.

Will you coordinate the dove release with our wedding planner and photographer?

Yes we will.

Can I have a dove release anywhere?

Yes, you can except indoors or areas where there may be predators of the doves present.
